SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA HINT AT UPCOMING NIKE COLLAB

May 14, 2018

While fans wait on bated breath for a Swedish House Mafia reunion tour, the EDM supergroup have hinted at an upcoming collaboration with Nike.

Fresh off their comeback performance at Miami's Ultra Music Festival in March, the trio of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso have shared images of what looks to be a collaboration with Nike. In addition to sharing a photo of SHM sneakers, Steve Angello shared a cryptic, high-fashion photo on his Instagram story which also bears three of the iconic Nike symbols lined-up in a row.

The pair of one-off custom Nikes - which were been created by ritzy, celebrity focused company A-Morir Studio - many are starting to speculate that a more extensive collaboration between Nike and the Swedish electronic music trio may very much be in the works.

Created by stylist Andrew Mukamal, Francisco Ragazzi and famous designer/DJ Virgil Abloh, the mysterious merchandise includes the fresh pair of hand-painted kicks for the legendary DJ trio also including a reconstructed flight jacket, hand painted and hand screened leather vest and denim jackets.

Swedish House Mafia Hints At Big Announcement!

May 03, 2018

After the surprise reunion of the Swedish House Mafia at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, we all thought the legendary trio were finally back for good.

Since that epic performance at Ultra Music Festival, the trio have posted numerous pictures on their Instagram giving us even more reason to believe that it was official. Well, they sent another surprise our way recently when they decided to delete every photo on their page.

Many think it may have something to do with Steve Angello‘s newly released album, Human. If that’s the case, it kinda seems like Steve is focusing more on his solo career and putting Swedish House Mafia back on hold.

To make things worse, live footage of their reunion performance was on their Instagram, now it’s gone. However, often times when an artist is planning for a huge announcement, they’ll wipe their social media to a clean slate for a fresh, new start.

No one knows what’s next, but it definitely will be something big and we’ll definitely keep you updated!

Avicii dead at 28: Swedish EDM star’s family says he ‘could not go on any longer’

April 25, 2018

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” his publicist said in a statement. “He was found dead in Muscat, Oman, this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”

The cause of death has not yet been released.

Avicii gained mainstream popularity and became one of the decade’s first major EDM stars in 2011 on the strength of his self-produced single “Levels.” The breakout hit sampled Etta James’s “Something’s Got a Hold on Me” and was the primary sample in rapper Flo Rida’s hit “Good Feeling.” The DJ quickly transformed into the face of EDM, performing around 300 gigs both that year and the next. “Levels” and “Sunshine,” a collaboration with French DJ David Guetta, received Grammy nominations for best dance recording.

Sensation music festival to make Jakarta debut

August 02, 2017

Themed "The Ocean of White," the first local edition of indoor electronic dance music (EDM) festival Sensation, held at ICE BSD City in Tangerang, Banten on Saturday night, welcomed partygoers with a unique underwater ambiance.

Upon arriving at the venue, visitors were greeted by giant jellyfish with glowing lights as tentacles floating above. The center of the venue, meanwhile, was a revolving round stage.

Sensation’s resident DJ, Mr. White, opened the festival to set the party mood that night, and by the time DJ duo Lucas and Steve took the stage, the crowd had nearly doubled.

The show continued with DJ Ummet Ozcan, DJ Quintino and DJ brothers Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike. The festival’s host, MC Gee, did his bit to further elevate the atmosphere.

Similar to Sensation festivals in other countries, visitors were required to wear all-white. The dress code pays tribute to Miles Stutterheim, the younger brother of Sensation founder Duncan Stutterheim, who passed away in a car accident after the first Sensation event.

Since the Bieber issues, Diplo has released an alternate version of the track switching out the pop star for Indonesian viral sensation Rich Chigga.
